Joint distribution with Maximus and Oersoep breweries
Swinkels Family Brewers is proud to announce its strategic partnership with Maximus Brewery in Utrecht and Oersoep Brewery in Nijmegen. Swinkels Family Brewers will take care of the distribution to the hospitality industry, supermarkets and liquor stores for the two breweries. The companies remain independent and retain their unique identities.
Strategic collaborations as part of growth strategy
The collaboration starts today and is part of the Swinkels Family Brewers strategy to expand its beer portfolio with local and international beers in order to supply a broader range of beers to its customers. Swinkels Family Brewers already collaborates with local brewers Maallust (Veenhuizen, Drenthe) and Vandeoirsprong (Oirschot, North Brabant), and plans to add more local beer producers to its portfolio.
In this new collaboration, Swinkels Family Brewers will provide the exclusive distribution of Oersoep's core and seasonal beers; Hopfather, Sergeant Pepper, Blanco, Freewheel, Juicebox Hero, Sexy Motherbocker and Orzo Dolce. On behalf of the Maximus Brewery, Swinkels will distribute Little Fred, Pandora, Dakhaas, Highhops, Brutus, Stout 6, Bock 7 and Zomerbier.
Local relevance
Chief Commercial Officer of Swinkels Family Brewers, Peer Swinkels, shares: “Success is something that you create together. We share our passion for beer, craftsmanship and a healthy entrepreneurial spirit with the Maximus and Oersoep breweries. These are the family values that have been the basis for our 300 years of success, and it is promising that our partners share our sentiments. This collaboration with the breweries is a good step in our strategy to be locally relevant and further diversify our portfolio.”
Ewald Visser, director of Maximus Brewery: “Maximus prides itself on its quaffable beers and their unique identity. In terms of the future, we want to be able to continue to meet the growing demand and increase our visibility in the Dutch market. Quality and service are always our priorities. Right from the very first meeting there was a mutual trust and we are looking forward to having Swinkels Family Brewers as our strategic distribution partner to further expand the Maximus brand.”
Kick van Hout, director of Oersoep: “At Oersoep brewery, we find inspiration in the ancient brewing methods and traditions which we interpret in our own way. To expand further we were looking for a distribution partner who speaks the same language, understands us and believes in us. Swinkels Family Brewers has been producing beer for 300 years, and besides its history, they greatly value quality and beer that tells a good story. This makes for an excellent match.”
