La Trappe launches Blond Special Edition 2025

11-04-2025

Berkel-Enschot – La Trappe proudly presents the La Trappe Blond Special Edition 2025, a tribute to the classic La Trappe Blond. With an alcohol content of 7%, this Blond Special Edition offers a refined bitterness and a rich, layered character. The carefully selected blend of four grains – barley, wheat, oats, and rye – also delivers a full, complex taste experience. In short: this special edition is an excellent choice for lovers of characterful blond beers.

What makes this edition especially unique is that, with the purchase of La Trappe Blond Special Edition, you are contributing to a charitable cause. Part of the proceeds is donated to orphans in Kasasa, a small village in the heart of Uganda near Kyotera, where the monks of Koningshoeven Abbey have established a daughter monastery. There, a group of four women cares for 140 children who lost their parents to the devastating effects of AIDS. These children are often stigmatized and not taken in by family, making them dependent on support from the local community. The orphanages that house them have limited resources and rely on local food aid. Education is often out of reach for these children, and many are forced to beg to meet their basic needs.
